Heritage Suite
A private living room, jharokha-style seating and wood-panelled walls that echo the durbar halls.
Where the sacred kitchens of Udupi meet the grandeur of the Wodeyar durbar — warm hospitality, timeless rituals and a pure-vegetarian table, a two-minute stroll from the Mysore Palace.
Two great traditions share one roof. From the temple town of Udupi we inherit a thousand years of anna-daana — the sacred act of feeding every guest like family. From Mysuru, city of the Wodeyars, we borrow the grace of the durbar: rosewood carved by hand, silk in deep royal tones, and evenings that end with ghee and jaggery.
The masala dosa was born in Udupi's temple kitchens — ours are stone-ground fresh at dawn.
Two minutes from the Amba Vilas Palace gates, on the quiet side of Palace Road.
Frothed brass-to-brass at dawn and dusk — the heartbeat of the house.
Forty-two rooms, each touched by Mysore craftsmen — silk, rosewood and handloom, with modern quiet behind every door.

A king for the parents, cosy singles for the little ones — and warm milk on request.
Ruchi means taste, and taste is our religion. Stone-ground batters rested overnight, filter coffee frothed twice between brass davara and tumbler, and Mysore Pak so ghee-rich it snaps before it melts. Every plate is pure vegetarian — as it has been in Udupi for a thousand years.
Stay central — the city's great landmarks are minutes away, and our desk plans each outing around the light.
